  2. The American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Central MD 3 Mile Walk

    October 21, 2018, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Watkins Park

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events celebrate survivors and raise awareness and money to help the American Cancer Society save lives. The money is used to fund innovative research, provide free information and support programs to patients and caregivers, and to help reduce breast cancer risks or find it early when it's most treatable. That's why your participation in these walks is absolutely critical to our success. The more money we can raise through these walks, the bigger the impact we can make on cancer. We've had a good start. The American Cancer Society has played a critical role in many breast cancer breakthroughs including funding the drugs Tamoxifen and Herceptin. Money raised this year could go towards developing the next generation of lifesaving treatments. Which means you could be a part of the next big breast cancer breakthrough! Join an us now and help us save lives from breast cancer.
