Painting the Town Purple

Please join the Mayor, Town Council, the Illiano Project and local businesses as we recognize September as National Recovery Month. This effort is associated with the color purple. We are encouraging everyone to “go purple” to bring awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use disorders, and to celebrate those living in recovery. The town is sponsoring a contest of the best decorated businesses and will be illuminating town properties in purple!!!! Visit Mount Airy Goes Purple to learn more about this program.
