 PRESS RELEASE – TRIBUTE TO DELAINE HOBBS FOR 36 YEARS OF SERVICE AS A MOUNT AIRY TOWN COUNCIL MEMBER – JUNE 3, 2013

A tribute to R. Delaine Hobbs, Jr., where he will be honored for his 36 (1966 – 2002) years of service to the Town of Mount Airy as a Mount Airy Council Member.  In recognition and admiration his portrait will be displayed at Town Hall so that future generations will know of his outstanding service to The Town of Mount Airy.

The event will be held from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (prior to the June Town Council Meeting) on June 3, 2013 at the Mount Airy Town Hall, 110 South Main Street, in the Council Room.

MOUNT AIRY BEAUTIFICATION COMMISSION MEETING

Due to the upcoming holiday, the Mount Airy Beautification Commission will meet tonight, 5/20, at 7:00p.m. at Town Hall , 110 S. Main Street, Mount Airy, in the map room.

The crew working on the Water Main Project will be connecting the lateral streets off of South Main St. to the new water line.  See below for the street and its corresponding date for shut off.  The residents are receiving their door hanger notices today.
