    Big Country Breakfast Buffett: The Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Company (MAVFC) will host a Big Country Breakfast Buffet on March 17th beginning at 7:30 AM until 11:00 AM at the MAVFC Reception Hall, 1008 Twin Arch Road, Mt. Airy. The buffet will feature scrambled eggs, smoked sausage, bacon, French toast, pancakes, biscuits, home fries, sausage and chipped beef gravies, baked apples, waffles, coffee, orange juice, milk, tea and hot chocolate. Cost is: $10 adults, $8 children ages 6 to 12 and children 5 and under are free. Proceeds benefit the Fire Company.

  1. If I Were Mayor Essay Contest for Fourth Graders

    February 7, 2019 - March 30, 2019

    The Mayor will be visiting the elementary schools in Mount Airy that house our Fourth graders. A presentation will be given at that time informing students of their opportunity to write an essay of 275 words or less to enter in the "If I Were Mayor" contest. Prizes this year include $100 cash, a Governor's Citation and a Boat cruise of Annapolis on the Harbor Queen!
