The Town of Mount Airy, located on the border between Carroll, Howard and Frederick Counties in Maryland, is a rural town with a rich history. The Town of Mount Airy was established in 1830 and built as a railroad stop, but quickly became known for its cool clean air and spectacular scenery. People flocked to make Mount Airy their home with its close proximity and convenience to the Baltimore and Washington Metropolitan areas.
One can quickly be enamored with downtown Mount Airy and its small town charm, quaint old buildings, and welcoming atmosphere that takes you back to a time long past, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Stop, Shop, and Stroll Mount Airy has become the mantra that has attracted so many visitors to our town. Mount Airy is and has become a premiere destination in Western Maryland.

| Mount Airy Farmers' Market - The Mount Airy Farmers' Market is now open each Wednesday 3:30p.m. to 6:30p.m. located on the Municipal Parking Lot in Historic Downtown Mount Airy at the corner of Park Avenue and Veterans Lane.
